Managing a conflict of interest
[edit] Hello, AlvinLimHTX. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Home Team Science and Technology Agency, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ JASWE (talk) 06:27, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks, I have disclosed my COI in the HTX talk page. AlvinLimHTX (talk) 06:41, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for declaring your COI. As per the instructions for COI editors, please make the requests for other editors to make content edits for you (excluding spelling, punctuation, minor edits etc). This is to ensure the article has an involved editor to ensure the changes are non promotional (the section header Technological contribution is slightly promotional). While the process might take a bit of time due to the voluntary nature of editors, you can make multiple requests at one time to reduce time taken. Thanks! ~ JASWE (talk) 06:53, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Understood, thanks! AlvinLimHTX (talk) 08:09, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Oops. I said involved editor, should be uninvolved and lack of COI editor to help ensure non promotional edits. Thank you! ~ JASWE (talk) 08:20, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
