We will be modifying the Syntactic Hierarchy page by adding new sections to increase understanding on the subject, as the current page currently does not adequately describe the topic, as there are many gaps in information which we hope to address.

The New Headings will be including (with Subheadings) are as listed:

Heading: History

 Sub-heading: Noam Chomsky
 Sub-heading: Ferdinand de Saussure

Heading: Hierarchy Diagram with brief explanations of each component of Structural Linguistics

(which will be explained in Sub-heading: Ferdinand de Saussure)
   Sub-Heading: Sentence
   Sub-Heading: Phrase
   Sub-Heading: Morpheme

The reason we are focusing on these three levels of syntactic hierarchy as they are related to what we have learned in our Linguistics 300 class.

In each section, there will be also be examples from other languages (French/Punjabi) to strengthen our points to be illustrated. (Achand6 (talk) 23:40, 5 December 2017 (UTC))[reply]
