Hello,

First, another welcome to Wikipedia (though I see you joined a while ago in fact). I hope I keep going, because you look as if you know what you're about. :-)

It occurred to me that if you're restructuring things, you might well find yourself needing to reword section headings. That needs a bit of care, because it can break incoming links to the section.

The solution is to add an anchor with the old heading name, for the links to land on. There's some information on how to do that at MOS:SECTIONANCHOR and on the page for the {{anchor}} template, but they both assume you're using the source editor. I'm not sure how one does it with the visual editor.

Anyway I thought this might be useful information—feel free to ignore if not! Musiconeologist (talk) 20:43, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I appreciate the welcome and the tips! I am using the visual editor as of now, but I'll work on figuring out enough about using the source editor to make sure I do that in future :) AbsoluteMess (talk) 22:25, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
