Megistis is right: We need to have a source for that map. It's likely a copyvio. Please clarify where you got it from. Note that lying about image uploads (like declaring an image "self-made" when you got it from somewhere else) is a very serious offense on Wikipedia and will get you blocked for a long while, next time you do it. If you've just modified them but not made them all by yourself, please don't use the upload form that says "self-made". Modifying doesn't mean you get the copyright, it still belongs to the original creators. For the map you uploaded previously, you can simply go and edit the image desciption page, like you would any other page. Fut.Perf. ☼ 12:25, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

If you base yours on an existing (legitimate) Wikipedia image, that is fine, you just put the same license on your version that the original one had, and link to the original as your source. Unfortunately, in the case of the Sandzak population map, the older upload seemed to be itself a copyvio, which is of course not your fault. Fut.Perf. ☼ 12:53, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Neutral point of view

I agree that we should keep the neutral point of view, but why do you think that your point of view is neutral? Kosovo Albanian's independence has been recognized by only 20 countries. Kosovo isn't member of the United Nations, and government from Pristina does not control the Northern Kosovo, which is loyal to Serbian government from Belgrade.Until Kosovo's independence becomes fully recognized internationally (if that happens), I believe that we should write Serbia as the name of the country , and Kosovo as the name of province (or: country Serbia, claimed by Kosovo).--Andrija (talk) 13:30, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Two points. First, I didn't say my view was neutral, but I clearly said that yours was not, as it is required by Wikipedia. Second, Kosovo has declared independence from Serbia and is being recognized by 20+ countries. Therefore, whether we like it or not, it is, indeed, a country. Take a look at the Kosovo article to understand what I am talking about. :) In addition, if you say that a town belongs to Serbia, while its geographic position is in Kosovo, then you are violating the NPOV. --_Arbër ^{T •  ?} 13:37, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately, my ultimate opinion is that Wikipedia has become too much biased. If you know from the beginning that somebody's intentions are negative toward the predefined set of goods and evils, then you shouldn't even lose a second of your life trying to let them know how wrong and irrational they are :).--_Arbër ^{T •  ?} 10:49, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Kosovo Article

Hi, I noticed that you are a member of the Kosovo project. I am busy over at the Kosovo project which merged (dubiously) with the one on the Republic of Kosovo. The aforementioned article hoever does not want to deal with RoK and we are stuck. would you be kind enough to come over and give some help. User Dab and user Beam have hijacked the article and want to write about the region of Kosovo and not about RoK. That is they want to dedicate a small section to it. Here is the link, thanks you. Thanks, but that will be difficult, since the existence of an article on RoK is already seen as POV although even Republika Srpksa has its own article. I do not even have to bother mentioning other countries with disputed sovereignty. I see. Well, when we talk of, say, Canada, we talk about Canada's geography and Canada as a sovereign country. Therefore, when we talk about Kosovo, we should talk about the Geography of Kosovo and the Republic of Kosovo. I know it is to much asked but please just go through the disputed territory and the following proposed intro thread to have a clear opinion as to what is going on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Kosovo#Disputed_Territory . There is a article on geography of kosovo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Kosovo but the guys over at the Kosovo article claim that they are writing on the region of kosovo which is different then the RoK. While the data that they use for that region is same as the one which should be for the RoK. It is a clear PoV pushing, by trying to minimize the existence and significance of RoK and pretending that this Kosovo article is something else. It is ridiculous and I do not know how to bring it to an end since I started here quite late. One thing is clear. RoK deserves a NPOV article and the Kosovo on is clearly not about RoK. Claiming that RoK article would be POV is pure crap since RoK is a undeniable reality, with all the problems that it has. Thank you again. Artur Tashko lindi në Korçë më 10 prill 1901, në familjen e shquar të Thanas Tashkos dhe Heleni Zografit. Emri i tij i vërtetë ishte Anastas, por në art përdorte emrin Artur Tashko. Ai ishte fëmija i dytë i familjes ku pjesëtarë të tjerë ishin Gjergji (Gaqo), Kostandini(Koco), Katerina, Aleksandri(Leko) dhe Tefta Tashko.

Prindërit e Arturit rridhnin nga një dinasti e shquar për angazhimin e saj në çështjet e atdheut në ditë të vështira. Në vitin 1904 ata emigruan në Aleksandri, Egjypt ku jetuan deri në vitin 1912 derisa u kthyen në Shqipëri. Arturi erdhi në Shqipëri në vitin 1907 dhe qëndroi për rreth një vit. Në vitin 1908 ai u largua përgjithmonë nga Shqipëria. Arturi vazhdoi studimet në Bejrut, Liban dhe më pas fiton një bursë studimi në 1920 nga Qeveria Shqiptare për në Austri. Në Vjenë ai studioi në Akademinë e Arteve të Bukura dhe njëkohësisht filloi karrierën artistike. Aty u ndikua nga artistët e Secceessionit Vjenez dhe u njoh me krijimtarinë e Renoir e Cezanne. Dhe e thelloi kulturen e tij artistike me studime për flaut në Konservatorin e Bostonit, duke e ndare kete pasion me motren e tij Tefta Tashko Koço. Martohet me gruan e parë, Elsa, aktore ne teatrin Shekspirian te Boston-it. U lindi një djalë në vitin 1939 të cilit i vinë emrin Artur.

Në 1939 fillon udhëtime në Evropë, Francë, Gjermani, Itali, Austri dhe aty u ndikua nga rryma kubiste, duke braktisur impresionizmin. Njihet me piktorë të mëdhenj të kohës si Picasso, Leger, Delaunay, Jean Arp, me te cilet morri pjese ne Ekspoziten e Vienes. Fighting Skopjan/FYROMian propaganda

Hello, I would like to know who I have to contact in order to have all FYROMian propaganda removed from Wikipedia. I thought this was a serious encyclopedia, however it is fullfulled with Skopjan crap. There are so many lies in here that you cannot even get a single line of light in this place.

The most horrendous things I have seen here being used that do not correspond to reality are: - Republic of Macedonian being used instead of the legally international name FYROM. - Ethnic Macedonian... everyone knows they are Bulgarians... what are they trying to pull. - In no place it says that it was Tito in 1948 the one who brainwashed this population and made them believe they were Macedonians as an intent to have a unified Yugoslavia and remove Bulgarian population from there. - There is missing information about the slogan "Macedonia is Greek, don't call them by my name!". --87.219.84.239 (talk) 03:09, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. First off, I strongly believe that Wikipedia is a special project. The fact that this encyclopedia is almost entirely open to edits by identified and anonymous users makes this project prone to vandalism, manipulation of academic and/or universally accepted sources, mixed soup of different levels of intelligence, and so on and so forth. Therefore, I comprehend your concern - it is derived from what I just wrote. Nonetheless, it is everybody's responsibility to ensure that each article meets encyclopedia standards, academic standards, Wikipedia standards, and a mixture of all three. That is, you have to use strong, logical arguments, accentuated by facts, in order to ensure the viability of both the project and the individual articles which you feel like you could mostly contribute to. I am open to further suggestions in order to ensure that articles such as the one about Macedonia remain neutral and respect the Wikipedia Neutral Point of View guidelines.--_Arbër ^{T •  ?} 12:18, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Kjo pune nisi dje, kur po shfletoja te gjitha faqet ne lidhje me gjeografine e Shqiperise jugore. Shoh qe pothuaj te gjithe qytetet, fshatrat, provincat, distriktet, etj., qe jane ne kufi me Greqine apo qe greket thone se u perkasin atyre me nocionin irredentist te Vorio Epirit, permbanin jo vetem emrat shqiptare, por edhe emrat greke, sipas versioneve greke. Eh, punet shkojne disi rromlla-pertomlla ketu, sepse shume pak dine te perzgjedhin fakte. Ajo qe kam vene re tek keta eshte nje perceptim selektiv - pra, mendojne dhe veprojne ashtu sic e gjykojne ata per mire, jo ashtu sic jane faktet. Kjo ndodh shumicen e kohes, por jo tek te gjithe adminet qe duket se jane selektive. Gjithesesi, une propozoj te ndertohet nje manual of style, sic thote Cradel me lart tek seksioni "Re:" dhe te votohet qe cdo faqe shqiptare nuk ka logjike dhe arsye faktike qe te shprehet ne gjuhe si greqishtja apo serbishtja, qellimet e te cilave jane irredentiste. I have been here almost two years and I think there is a lot to be done when it comes to securing NPOV on Albanian related articles. Fortunately the situation has improved since when I began to edit here back in 2006. Some of the most annoying editors have been blocked and most of the remaining editors are civil. I've been here since 2005, but I haven't been a regular editor. Since Kosovo's declaration of independence, I've tried to inflict a neutral point of view by setting emotions aside in favor of a colder rational collection of facts. I see, all in all, that emotive arguments are so difficult to be left aside. The battle I'm here to fight and to pursue to win is against emotive reasoning and in favor of FACTS.
