Categories

Please don't copy and paste category tags blindly into articles. Categories must not be redundant: an article should not generally be in a category and in one of its subcategories.

Make sure you understand how piping works with categories before removing a pipe or adding an entry with a pipe; it isn't obvious. Pipe examples: [[Category:foo|bar]], [[Category:foo| ]]. The latter form is particularly important: the pipe with a space following it is used to mark the lead article for a category. Do not remove these from category entries, and don't add them unless it is appropriate.--Srleffler (talk) 16:35, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
