Elton John edits

Hi. I'm not sure if you're new to Wikipedia but I reverted a number of your recent edits on various Elton john-related articles, but see you continue to edit. While some of the edits may have been warranted, other actions included a lot of unnecessary changes and low-level poor formatting, including random capital letters ("Track listing" doesn't require a capital 'l') and the changing of certain wording which goes against the Wikipedia norm (Elton John and many other similar artists are typically referred to as English rather than British). Have a look at some other similar Wikipedia articles to see how things are usually done, but don't be surprised if other Wikipedia members revert some of your edits too. :-) Geach (talk) 18:26, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Manual of Style

Hi. Your edits are necessarily wrong, but to date have been about changing the style of how text is presented. Wikipedia follows a Manual of Style(MOS). Most article you will find appear a certain way because they are following this manual. It would save you, and others, time and effort, if you checked the MOS first, or compared the article you are editing with other similar ones. If something is consistently done a certain way, it will very likely be because a MOS or guideline stipulates this. Altering an article away from this will usually be reverted back.

This can take a bit of getting used to, particularly if you don't particularly like the style. But uniformity is important to make things easy for reader. Don't give up! --Escape Orbit ^(Talk) 12:43, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to just outright block you and mass-rollback your edits after noticing this edit, which shows unbelievable overconfidence about the validity of your opinion and ignorance of Wikipedia's capitalisation conventions (the fact that the title is capitalised the way it is should have been a huge clue), and this edit, which broke a file link, which you would have been able to see by previewing it or even the briefest glance at the page after you'd published your changes. These edits, along with your long-running use of an IP rather than account despite the latter's numerous benifits, do not inspire any confidence here. Graham87 15:21, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
