Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "76e1b485-5dba-4117-873e-1915d27bb4d9", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it consists of a random typing and may appear as disruptive. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. I didn't found any prohibition of random identifiers in the username policy. But if you are strongly convinced that I have to use something else as a username, please suggest an option that definitely does not violate the policy. 76e1b485-5dba-4117-873e-1915d27bb4d9 (talk) 20:19, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It holds a similarity to an IP address, which we don't allow per WP:MISLEADNAME. There is a guide at WP:USERNAME which indicates which user names may cause a problem. SilkTork (talk) 16:37, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, you've convinced me, UUID can be really confused with an IPv6 address. So what kind of random string I can use? Will "duG0hV26QReHPgAAGRXSew" have a resemblance to something? 76e1b485-5dba-4117-873e-1915d27bb4d9 (talk) 01:12, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
