WP:NOPIPE
[edit]Hi,
I noticed a few of your recent edits where you added "piped" links to pre-existing redirects, for example, here and here. In general, Wikipedia prefers the use of redirects rather than piping links unnecessarily. Please see the advice given at WP:NOPIPE, MOS:NOPIPE, and WP:NOTBROKEN.
Just for clarity, let me quote a very brief excerpt from WP:NOPIPE:

- I guess I’ll just stop editing Wikipedia as I can’t stand redirects. Good day, and best wishes. 2601:18F:682:8150:A9DF:805D:9E8F:F0ED (talk) 23:52, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- That would be a shame. What do you dislike about redirects? They have many advantages. Jean-de-Nivelle (talk) 23:54, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- I see nothing productive about them, I’ll say no more. 50.214.244.17 (talk) 20:02, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- You may have your reasons for wanting to "fix" redirects, but it's not a productive use of time and in some cases can even be disruptive. Consider finding other things to fix, I'm sure the Typo Team could use more hands for example. You've clearly got some dedication to improving the project, it just needs to get applied somewhere constructive. Thanks :) Taffer😊💬(she/they) 21:12, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- I’m sorry, but if I can’t pipe redirects, I don’t wanna edit here, so good day & farewell. -- 50.214.244.17 (talk) 21:41, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- Your inexplicable hatred of redirects isn't helpful, that energy has a lot of other constructive places it could go. But if you'd simply rather not edit, then fare thee well. Taffer😊💬(she/they) 21:53, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- Fine, fare thee well. At least I already know that you’re not gonna miss me. -- 50.214.244.17 (talk) 00:17, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
