Template:Long quote/doc

I have undone your edits at Template:Long quote/doc, as you used no edit summaries, and I didn't see any improvement to the template doc as a result of your edits. On the contrary, they seem to have made it slightly worse, hence the revert. Did I miss something? If I did, please explain the reasoning behind these edits at Template talk:Long quote, and please always use edit summaries with every edit Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 05:34, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

Undid ten template doc edits

I undid ten of your edits at template doc pages for various reasons, as noted in my edit summaries. None of your edits had an edit summary, so I had to go look in detail at every edit to see what you were attempting, and guess why you thought it was an improvement to the Template doc. Some clearly were not an improvement and they were undone; others clearly were, and I left those alone; some were questionable, and I mostly left those alone as well–this time around. If you disagree with any of my reverts, please raise a discussion at the relevant Template talk page to discuss it. Note however, that I strongly advise you to use Edit summaries with every edit to let your fellow editors know the goal of your edit, and how it is an improvement. I spent a fair bit of time trying to second-guess your edits this time, but I won't do that again, so if you make more edits to Template doc pages without an edit summary, I will look only very briefly before undoing them if they don't seem clearly an improvement.
