Links, pipes, and redirects

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed a number of your recent edits to pages associated with David Walliams that didn't seem helpful. In general it's better to link to a page that has the most specific information on a topic, like "Mr Stink (film)", rather than "Mr Stink#Television film adaptation", or "Gangsta Granny (film)" rather than "Gangsta Granny#Television film adaptation". If a redirect exists to a page section, like "Billionaire Boy (film)", it makes sense to use that redirect rather that linking directly to the section, If the section is renamed in the future, or even expanded into an independent article, it saves work updating every link.

Have a read of MOS:LINK, particularly MOS:NOPIPE, as well as WP:NOPIPE and WP:NOTBROKEN.

Also, please use edit summaries to describe your edits. It saves confusion.
