Request reason:
Using a paid VPN to avoid association with my workplace.
For context: I've recently moved to accommodation provided by my employer, and I have opted to use a VPN to prevent any DMCA notices and the like from making their way to my employer. However, as a result, I'm unable to edit the English Wikipedia from home, even when logged into my account - the block notice is attributed to User:DeltaQuad and cites spam issues from this IP address range. Is there a way for logged in edits from this IP range to be re-enabled, even if anonymous edits remain blocked? Thanks. 209.107.193.126 (talk) 00:39, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline. What you can do is log into your account and then request an IP block exemption. If granted that right, you would be able to edit through the block. After reviewing some of the SPI case that prompted this block, I can see large numbers of sockpuppets so it is safe to say that account editing will not be enabled on this IP.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- @Berean Hunter: Thanks for the info. I'm not sure about requesting an IPBE, because that would mean my username features on IPBE/log which again raises some privacy concerns for me. I guess I'll have to resign myself to editing when I'm not at home. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 209.107.193.126 (talk) 01:48, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
![]() | This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
