Ukrainization of names

[edit]

Only change city names like Kiev to Kyiv

not names like Vladimir to Volodymyr

place names which still use russian names like kievan rus

we need to use the common names which tend to be russian Roc1233 (Talk | Edits) 01:14, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It's a bit more complicated than that. I've explained it to you at Talk:Primary Chronicle.
That said, 193.0.216.202 should stop edit-warring at Primary Chronicle. See WP:KYIV for more information. Cheers, NLeeuw (talk) 02:44, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi 193.0.216.202! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Primary Chronicle several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Primary Chronicle, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Please also see WP:KYIV regarding the usage of Kiev and Kyiv in articles.. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
