Colors for diagrams of vector addition and sector subtraction.

In the diagram for vector addition a+b, the color of a is red, the color of b is blue and the color of a+b is purple. This makes sense - mixing red and blue gives purple.

In the diagram of vector subtraction a-b, the color of a is red, the color of b is blue and the color of a-b is purple. This makes less sense.

I propose to change the colors in the diagram of a-b such that a is purple, b is blue and a-b is red. The idea being that subtraction blue from purple gives red. Jasoegaard (talk) 14:33, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
