- This is not a case of disruptive editing, at least not on my part. Another user keeps changing the lead photo to a different one that is eight years old. Keeping the much newer and more accurate photo is not a violation of any rules or guidelines, even if the eyes of the subject are obscured by glasses. Improving the quality of the article by continuing to use the original photo is not disruptive editing. There are many examples of eyes being obscured by glasses in the lead photo, even within the same industry. The lead photo for Brianna Wu is a good comparison. 104.0.82.65 (talk) 06:29, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- In reference to this edit:
- The photo you insist on putting in the lead, in which his face is completely obscured, is only 4 years newer. It is not decades newer
- Even if it was decades newer, it is a poor photo for a lead, unless a better photo is not available
- In general, the argument of WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS does not go very far. In your specific case, the comparison to Brianna Wu is not applicable
- No better photo of Ms. Wu exists in the commons
- Her face is obscured by large sun glasses, not goggles. The obstruction is therefore much smaller.
