The Boyertown Bears are an American Legion Baseball team based in Boyertown. They compete in American Legion Baseball as a member of the Pennsylvania (PA) Berks League. Since 1982, the team's home stadium has been Bear Stadium, located in Boyertown. The Bears are sponsored by American Legion Post 471.
The Bears have won two Legion World Series championships (against the <x> in 1982 and the <y> in 1987) and nine Mid Atlantic Regional titles, the first of which came in <z>. They are one of the most successful programs since the start of the 1980s in American Legion Baseball. The Bears have appeared in five Legion World Series championship games since 1980, out of nine appearances; these are tied for the most of any American Legion team for most national championship appearances since the 1980 season.
The team was founded in Philadelphia in <a>. The team originally played at the site of the current Cub Gym at Boyertown Senior High School, before moving to Bear Stadium for the 1982 Legion World Series.
