BIOGRAPHY OF HAMDAN BANDA

Hamdan Banda is a software developer born in Malawi. He attended his primary school at Naotcha in Blantyre District. During his secondary school level, he was inspired by things other people create. Things like games, software and hardware components, and particularly how people hack into systems. He always was curious of how these things are made/work and wanted to try.

He began his computer skills development in 2008 after finishing his secondary school education. In 2010, he moved to Mwanza District where he spent his time at home whilst his father was working at the border.

He started looking into CISCO IT Essentials and mastered every bit of it, since he was waiting for college entrance exam results. He learned more about the hardware and software all by himself. He did not have a teacher in computer science.

In 2012, he was able to do a lot of things by himself: repair PCs, unlock mobile phones' security, root android phones, jailbreak iOS devices among other things. But he did not know coding!

In 2014, he began studying game creation software like Unity 3d, Unreal Engine and CryEngine Editors; Programming software e.g. Python and Eclipse; and also Microsoft Visio.

He is now creating a game "Island Survivor" which is based on a story of a guy who was lost in an ocean (probably lake) due to the crash of the ship they boarded and found himself on an island. There he found that there were snakes and other reptiles that feed on human beings and hunters who kill strangers.

About this game, he wanted to collaborate with Ubisoft Game Developer Company to help him in some useful ideas so that his dreams come true.

He is also a Forester by professional and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry in 2015 at University of Malawi, Bunda College of Agriculture (now known as LUANAR). His wish is to create a software that will be used by Forestry Department of the Republic of Malawi.
