Mariner High School is located south of Everett, Washington in the Mukilteo School District. It serves grades nine through twelve. As of 2004, Mariner had an enrollment of 2,133 students. During the 2001-02 school year, Mariner was awarded a Gate Achiever grant by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. With the grant, the school divided its faculty and student body into six "academies" to facilitate smaller learning communities.
