Ekaterina Chikmareava (Russian, born March 20, 2007) is a Russian pair skater. With her skating partner, Matvei Ianchenkov, she is the 2023 Russian National bronze medalist and a two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medalist.
Personal life
[edit]Chikmareva was born in Perm, Russia. She began skating in 2011 at the age of four. She trains at Sport School START in Perm. Outside of skating, she enjoys drawing and studying.[1]
Career

[edit]Chikmareva teamed up with Matvei Ianchenkov in the early 2020s. The pair quickly gained attention on the junior circuit for their technical elements and expressive performances.
2021–22 season
[edit]In the 2021–22 season, Chikmareva and Ianchenkov made their debut on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. They won gold at both the JGP Krasnoyarsk and JGP Gdańsk events. At JGP Krasnoyarsk, they achieved personal best scores of 64.12 in the short program, 124.99 in the free skate, and a total of 189.11 points.[2]
2022–23 season
[edit]The pair continued to compete in junior events, culminating in a victory at the 2023 Russian Junior Championships held in Perm. They scored a total of 208.68 points, placing first in the short program with 78.41 points and second in the free skate with 130.27 points.[3]
2023–24 season
[edit]Transitioning to senior-level competition, Chikmareva and Ianchenkov earned the bronze medal at the 2023 Russian National Championships. They also secured a silver medal at the 2023 Russian Cup Stage IV.[4]
