The Toronto Tennis Association has a proud tradition and respected reputation of delivering one of Toronto’s finest Junior Recreational Programs. Taught by our Tennis Canada Certified instructors, we maintain a low ratio of children to instructor ratio in order to ensure quality instruction, personal attention and safety.

The emphasis of our Junior Program is on FUN, FITNESS and LEARNING and will include:

o 9 hrs of instruction with emphasis on cardiovascular development, self-esteem and goal setting o Technical instruction and progressive skill development o Ages 6 - 15 o 8 : 1 student instructor ratio

LEVEL 1: Beginner Program TTA’s beginner program is an introduction to the basic strokes and fundamentals of tennis through repetitive drills. It is designed to develop proficiency in elementary techniques through hand eye coordination, proper hand grip instruction and footwork and balance drills. Fitness, personal development and sportsmanship in a social atmosphere are emphasized throughout the lessons.

LEVEL 2: Intermediate Program TTA’s intermediate program emphasizes on building upon the fundamentals of stroke production through repetitive drills. The key features of this program include, understanding the scoring system and match play, introduction of ball controls, spins and placement shots, game strategy and tactics and increasing flexibility, speed and power.

LEVEL 3: Advanced Program TTA’s advanced program is a geared towards children/youth who have a solid grasp of stroke production. In this phase of development, the intensity of drills is stepped up to reinforce solid mechanics as well as fine tuning the player.
