ebv-sisRNA-1 is a stable intronic sequence RNA (sisRNA) identified in B lymphocytes infected with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV, a.k.a. human herpesvirus 4 (HHV-4)). This sisRNA is the first known stable intron found in EBV. Homologous sequences to ebv-sisRNA-1 occur in Rhesus lymphocryptovirus (rLCV, a.k.a Macacine herpesvirus 4),
