SchematicPro is a web-based diagramming tool used by chemical and energy companies to share the layout of plants and facilities.

This tool can draw a variety of diagram, including block flow diagrams, product flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, measurement schematics and P&IDs.

Meaurement schematics are a directive 17 [1] requirement to ensure proper measurement is performed within the company.

SchematicPro is different from many drawing tools with it's ability to store a equipment properties. This equipment data can be easily viewed, changed and exported. The properties and constraints can also be modified by the user.

SchematicPro has date effective changes to enable a thorough audit trail and to show histical views of the facilities.

SchematicPro lets users search for any value in its configurable database of equipment and properties. 

Integration and Add-Ons

SchematicPro lets you add richtext andimages and to the diagram. As well, data grids can also be added from the SchematicPro repository or from any other application (via a relational database connection).

SchematicPro can import any csv or spreadsheet to upload additional properties and equipment to the canvas.

Any Western-Canadian upstream producer can auto-draw their facilities based upon the public database of Petrinex. As well the auto-sync feature will report any changes between the current drawing and the public database.

The auto-draw feature uses facility sub-types [2] and custom templates to generate a layout of at each facility from the Petrinex public data[3] .

A Facilities balance summary can be displayed to show the summary of production, receipts, dispositions, inventory, fuel vent, disposition, and

proration factors.

These volume for the facility balance also come from the Petrinex public data [4] which are published every month.
