Kaushik Kumar is an Indian civil servant currently serving as the Commandant of the Central Training Institute (CTI) and District Commandant in Ranchi, Jharkhand. With a background in engineering, he transitioned into public service, where he has been recognized for his leadership in law enforcement and administrative training.

[edit]Kaushik Kumar hails from Giridih, Jharkhand. He is the son of retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, Santosh Kumar Pathak. He completed a degree in engineering before appearing for the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) civil services examination.[1]
Career
[edit]Kumar was selected through the JPSC examination and posted as District Commandant in Jharkhand's Home Guard and Fire Services department.[2] He was later appointed as the Commandant of the Central Training Institute (CTI) in Ranchi, responsible for overseeing training and operations of home guard personnel across the state.[3]
He is credited with implementing reforms in the re-enrolment and training of home guard personnel and for improving administrative transparency and operational discipline.[4]
