Any U.S. or non-U.S. CheerABILITIES team that would like to receive a bid to perform/exhibition in the CheerABILITIES Division at The Cheerleading World Championship in 2022 may submit a video for qualification. Up to 5 CheerABILITIES teams (limited to one team per program) are selected to receive At-Large bids. The number of participants that performed on the competition floor in the video at the qualifying event may not be exceeded by the number of participants performing on The Cheerleading Worlds’ floors.
BENEFITS OF NON-TUMBLING DIVISIONS
The Non-Tumbling divisions offer two benefits.
1) These divisions allow gyms to retain athletes who are not natural tumblers but want to stay in Cheerleading or athletes that started cheerleading at a later age.
2) This allows countries without tumbling resources an avenue to reach success at Worlds without being disadvantaged
COED TEAMS
The maximum numbers of males on a coed team may not exceed 2/3 of the total athletes on the team.
Worlds Alternates: Of the possible substitutes, one to three may be alternates for all divisions. Alternates are registered members of the same team’s gym where the bid was received.
Alternates do not have to be rostered or in attendance at the Worlds bid qualifying event where the bid was received.
CONSEQUENCES
If a team is found to have made an improper substitution or alternate, or a crossover, this team: - will be disqualified.
- may be responsible for repaying the total cost of any funds received through a paid bid.
- may be prevented (along with the entire all star program from that organization) from being
eligible for any type of bid to The Cheerleading Worlds or Dance Worlds the following year.
