The sport of competitive Roller Hockey was first introduced in Pakistan nearly 40 years ago by Mr. Khalid Saeed, who is now the President of the Roller Skating Federation of Pakistan. The first National Championship organized by PFRH was for Rink Hockey (Ball and Cane) in 1980, hosted by Lahore, Pakistan. At the insistence of it growing number of member nations. The Pakistan Federation of Roller Skating is national [null sports governing body] to develop and promote [null roller hockey] in [null Pakistan]. The federation is based in [null Lahore]. The federation is affiliated with [null International Federation of Roller Sports] and its continental association [null Confederation of Asia Roller Sports]. Pakistan Federation of Roller Hockey have represented Pakistan many time in different counters & different championships as like Olympic, World game, World championship, Asian championship etc.

The FIRS gathered more than 100 national federations, including countries from every continent and they are affiliated with the International Skating Union. Park terrain skateboarding will become an Olympic sport in 2020.[1]

A proposal to dissolve the federation and merge with the International Skateboarding Federation to form a new body known as World Skate was ratified in September 2017.[2]

PFRH

The PFRH aimed to foster the Roller Sports movement and participation on a global scale. Its areas of responsibility were as follows:

World Roller Games

The first edition of the World Roller Games (in all of 10 discipline) took place in Nanjing in 2017 and not in Barcelona, which was awarded during the FIRS Congress.[3][4] Barcelona will host the 2019 Games and Lima the 2021 edition.
