Nazia Andaleeb Preema is a prolific and provocative artist living and working between London and Dhaka. She is the chairperson of Preema Arte Foundation and President of Women in Leadership. Her practice traverses the relationship between abstraction and reality. Preema challenges stereotypical mindset of femininity, identity and women’s sexuality. From abstract painting to figurative performance her works investigates the possibilities of creating a subjective context using visual imagery. She exhibited her body of works in many acclaimed international platforms like 58th Venice Biennale, Florence Biennale, Dubai Biennale, Asian Art Biennale, Art Basel Miami etc. She advocates for women empowerment and deeply passionate about strategic movement to achieve her goal through her creative practice.
