Raymond (Ray) Edward Hall (born xxxx) is an American physicist and professor in the Department of Physics at California State University, Fresno. He is also creator of the "physicsfun" instagram account whose subscribership surpassed 1 million in 2018 by showcasing the operation of physics toys through demonstration videos.

Prof. Hall spent 15 years working as a member of the DZero Detector Collaboration at Fermi National Laboratory where he was part of the research team that discovered the fundamental particle known as the top quark.

Prof. Hall was appointed a research fellow by the James Randy Education Foundation (JREF) as recognition for his contribution to the skeptical movement. Dr. Hall is currently chair of the JREF’s academic scholarships committee and is an organizer of The Amazing Meeting (TAM) event.

He was an undergraduate at California State University, Fresno (1988) and received both his M.S. (1990) and Ph.D (1994) from the University of California, Riverside.
