Dami Moyela

Oluwadamilola Moyela (born August 21, 1985) is a Nigerian social entrepreneur, media and business development consultant. He is the founder of Kudegwo, and formerly reported on the small business desk at Business Day (Nigeria).

Early Life

Dami Moyela was born on 21 August 1985 in Lagos State, Nigeria. He grew up with his parents in Surulere and showed an interest in the arts from a young age.

Education

Moyela attended Pampers Private School for his elementary education and later enrolled in Federal Government College, Ogbomoso. During high school, he developed an interest in music and participated in an English Summary Competition. After completing his high school education, Moyela went on to attend the University of Jos where he pursued a diploma in Mass Communication and earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing from the Lagos State University.

Career

His media career began with Business Day (Nigeria), where he wrote articles, editorials, and interviews. After completing his diploma in Mass Communication, Dami Moyela began his professional career at Alzico, the trading arm of Vita Construction as a sales executive. He worked there for a year before moving on to Kingdom Africa TV (formerly on DSTV 345). At Kingdom Africa TV, Moyela worked as a business development executive. He was responsible for business and media sales, where he closed the House on the Rock and 7 Up accounts. His expertise in people relations and sales made him a valuable asset to the company, and he was soon promoted to business development manager.

In 2014, he joined RED | For Africa[1], a consortium of media firms managing sales and partnerships for the group’s media content, digital and traditional platforms. Today, Moyela continues to work in the media and community development space, striving to make a positive impact in his field.
