Sultan Gill (born 1 December 1993) is an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter who works in the Indian cinema industry.
Early and Personal Life
[edit]Sultan Gill was born in a village in Jalandhar district of Punjab and spent his complete childhood there. Starting from writing poems and writing films from his school days, he considers his life experiences as an important part of life as taught by his mother. He had his early education in St. Johns Acadamy School and secondary education in Govt. High School, and later Bachelor's Degree in Film Production in DC, Jal. After that, he also spent some time in a film institute to enhance his film and media experience.
Career
[edit]He began his career with film writing and directing short films for film festivals. He moved on to the Punjabi music industry as Executive Producer/Label Head with Debi’s Records Pvt. Ltd. in 2015.
Sultan founded his film production and post-production company After Sultan in 2013, his music label Debi’s Records Pvt. Ltd. in 2015, and a book publication Magnate Publications in 2015, whose first release was the Punjabi romantic poetry book Bas Aapa Dove (ਬਸ ਆਪਾਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ).
From 2022, Sultan Gill has become more active and launched more brands. The Debi’s Records label is already running. But keeping the religious sentiments in mind, he brought SHABAD LEEN record label into being separately. Along with this, AfterSultan is playing its leading role in the film industry, music, and media management industry as a post-production studio today.
Sultan has also directed, scripted, and edited numerous short films, music videos, documentaries, and journalism editorials. He is now ready to make his mark in world cinema through his short films — a unique perspective and an ability to capture the essence of a story.
