Plot
[edit]Gauri is a dramatic and thrilling story centered on the mysterious life of a pregnant madwoman. The narrative unfolds around a love triangle involving a school teacher, Titus Bhowmik, his seventeen-year-old student Gauri, and Gauri’s mute sister Uma. The plot thickens when Gauri’s father, Dinu Debnath, a sculptor artist, is found murdered. Suspicion falls on both Titus and Dinu’s friend, Gafur Sheikh. The incident triggers communal tensions between the local Hindu and Muslim communities. As the story progresses, the mysteries begin to unravel, ultimately revealing the truth behind the emotional, social, and political turmoil.
