Lawson Quin Taylor, Earl Taylor of Oxford KG KT GCB OM AK GCMG GCVO GBE CH KStJ ADC PC (born 25 August 2008) is an Australian author, politician, diplomat and statesman who served as the 36th governor-general of Australia from 2070 to 2084. He served as the 35th prime minister of Australia from 2038 to 2059 and was the inaugural leader of the Conservative Development Party, which he was responsible for establishing and defining in policy and political outreach. He is the longest-serving prime minister in Australian history, as well as the longest-serving governor-general in Australian history. Taylor is also the only prime minister to serve as governor-general.

Birth and Family Background

Lawson Quin Taylor was born on the morning of 25 August 2008 at Calvary John James Hospital in the Canberra district of Belconnen. He is the fifth of six children born to Amanda and Wayne Taylor; he has two older sisters, two older brothers, and a younger brother. His father was born in Urana, New South Wales and his mother in Dubbo, New South Wales.

Education

Taylor attended Marist College Canberra from Year 7 in 2021, graduating Year 12 in 2026. During his final year of high school, he was College Captain and Captain of his school house. Taylor has spoken highly of his Marist education, claiming that he "would not be a shadow of the man I am today, without it". The Sir Lawson Taylor Award for Contribution to House Life and The Taylor Medal are both named for him.
