Mariia Voitsekhivska (Ukrainian: Марія Олександрівна Войцехівська; born 13.02.1996, Kyiv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian sports shooter.[1] She is bronze medalist of the 2018 European 10 m Events Championships, as well as a World and European record holder. Voitsekhivska is a multiple-time national medalist and Ukrainian record holder in rifle shooting disciplines. Master of Sports of Ukraine, World Class.
Career
[edit]She started shooting at the age of 14, and from the age of 15 she began to participate in national competitions and later took part in international competitions as well. Studied at the Kyiv City School of Higher Sports Mastery.
In February 2016, as part of the team, she set a Ukrainian record during European Championship in the 10 meter air rifle (1230.7 points).[2]
In February 2018, Mariia and Serhiy Kulish, set a World, European and Ukrainian record in the 10 meter air rifle (838.5 points).[3], [4]. They secured 5th place after the final.
During the 2018 European 10 m Events Championships, the Ukrainian women`s rifle team - Mariia, Olga Zakapko and Anna Ilina - won a Bronze medal.
In July 2018, as part of the team, she set a Ukrainian record in the 10 meter air rifle (1867.4 points).[5]
Since 2015, Mariia has been a member of the Ukrainian Shooting Federation and the National Shooting Team of Ukraine.[6]
She graduated with honors from the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine. She holds a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports.
