AliView is an open-source nucleotide/aminoacid alignment viewer and editor.

The general idea with the design of the program was speed and usability, all new functions were optimized not to affect the general performance and capability to work swiftly with large alignments.

The program is developed at subdepartment of Systematic Biology, Department of Organismal Biology, Uppsala University.
