Slippyninja is an artist currently living in Texas. He is known from Deviantart to Instagram, Tiktok to tumblr, and facebook to twitter. His main medium is traditional although he has a substantial amount of digital experience as well. He can work with everything from spray paint, acrylics, watercolor, gouache, to found objects, collage, sculpture. His main style is pop-anti-crony capitalism heavily influenced by the culture of materialism, narcissism, and corporate greed. His pieces range from exaggerated portraiture of "famous" online personalities to commentary on consumerism, cultural childhood trauma, and inequality and mistreatment of minority groups.
Chris Collins AKA Slippyninja was born in 1980 to a lower middle class family outside of Boston MA. He grew up drawing and creating his whole life. He studied Biology in college at his mothers request and was a highschool science teacher for a short stint before joining the army. He was injured during his time in the military and medically discharged and has been creating and working ever since. He married his wife Kiki in 2007 and are still happily married living with their 10 rescue animals. 6 dogs and 4 cats.
