Hello![1] I'm just a random person on Wikipedia. Most pages I'll edit or create will be related to biology or botany – they are my fields of interest! On occasion, I may edit pages to do with other natural sciences.

My username is inspired by the sevenstar flying squid, Martialia hyadesii.

Other than editing Wikipedia, I like birdwatching, photography (mainly of birds), walking, reading, snorkeling, among other things.

I don't really know what else I should put here.

  • Did you know that Buellia frigida, a lichen found in the Antarctic, has an estimated growth rate of less than 1 mm (116 in) per century?
