Kobiton
[edit]Kobiton is a mobile testing and automation platform developed by Kobiton, Inc. The platform executes open-source Appium and Selenium test scripts on real-devices, in addition to providing device lab management software, and was initially launched to the public in 2017[1] . The company has headquarters in Atlanta, GA[2] and a Research and Development center in Vietnam[3].

The primary components of the platform include a cloud of real-devices for testing, device lab management software to connect and access global devices[5], and a scriptless automation solution[6]. An API is also provided[7].
Technologies
[edit]The primary automation technology used within the Kobiton platform is Appium, and is available in the Appium desktop client[8], and directly from within Katalon[9]. The main languages used with Kobiton are NodeJS[10] and Java[11].
The Kobiton desktop application is developed in ElectronJS[12].
Kobiton hosts 350 devices for shared access[13], and supports connection of local on-premises devices[14].
