Overview

[edit]

You've reached the Editor page for SciTechWrite. My writing and editing background is via experience as a line, program and project manager for science and technology programs in four industries, US government agencies and research universities.  My audiences for writing and editing are primarily multi-stakeholder groups that are pooling resources to advance science and technology.

Objective

[edit]

I'm engaged with Wikipedia to update science and technology related content with a focus on documented advances emerging from research & development laboratories for commercial application. I focus on articles referred to me by public investment researchers that use Wikipedia as a source to obtain basic and up-to-date  information about science and technology application. I edit those articles that have not yet incorporated advances that have been confirmed by a form of verified research including peer review and published in the public domain. I selectively edit articles that contain factual errors by content or incomplete references. I also edit articles to include information about macro and micro economic system-wide impacts from science & technology advances.

Reference Knowledge

[edit]

I'm applying experience from project and line management at research institute/management consulting units, banking, venture finance, startups and as partnership project manager for government and university laboratories. I am not experienced at Wikipedia formats, so I engage in the Teahouse and Talk pages and exchanges to assure that contents, footnotes, reference or links used fit within the Wikipedia formats. I've advised government, university and startup companies for 35+ years on strategies to commercialize technology, including fundraising. I also pro-bono advise government and universities on methods to optimize partnerships for technology commercialization. I disclose those interests where they are applicable, including the pro-bono engagements.
