Description: Avant- Garde Designer

Background: Jeremy Scott was born in Kansas City Missouri. At the age of fourteen he began taking French classes because he already knew he wanted to be a fashion designer in Paris. Scott attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, for fashion design. After graduation Scott moved to Paris to begin his runaway career. He found great success in Paris only a year after his arrival. Since he has shown collections in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, London, Moscow and Seoul. In 2001 Scott relocated to Los Angeles which is where he still is today.

What his message is: "I think there’s always humor in my work. Any message goes better with humor."

Awards: His collection brought him international fashion recognition, winning the Venus de la Mode Award for “Best Designer of the Year” in both 1996 and 1997. By 1999, Scott was recognized by the CFDA and was nominated for “ Best Young Designer.” Scott was quickly becoming one to watch in the fashion arena and was nominated by The Face Magazine in 2004 as number 32 of the 100 most powerful people in fashion.

Scott has appeared in the American soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Scott is reportedly close with rapper Kanye West and there are rumors about a possible collaboration. Scott is also close with the band 2NE1 and posts music videos and career updates about the band on his facebook.

Collaborations: Along with his famous Adidas collaboration Scott also has collaborations with swatch and Linda Farrow sunglasses

Adidas Shackle Shoes Controversy Jeremy Scott desgined a pair of Adidas shoes with orange shackles that sparked a huge uproar. Many people were offended by the shoes because they believed it symbolized slavery.
