Due to be released in May 2013, Half-Life 2: Episode 3: Mystery of the Holy Gaben, better known as Half-Life 2: The Mystery of the Holy Gaben, Half Life 2: Episode 3, or MoTHG, is a first-person shooter video game and the long awaited sequel to Half-Life 2: Episode 2. Currently developed by Vaalve Corporation and Elijah Lazarus™ Games. Half Life 2: Mystery of the Holy Gaben will be distrubuted by Half Life Tips, a subsidary of Nick Fenton, Inc. instead of the previously confirmed Electric Arts. Half Life 2: Episode 3: Mystery of the Holy Gaben will be released on Steem and also as a standalone disc.

Half Life 2: Episode 3: Mystery of the Holy Gaben uses the Sauce 2 game engine developed by Vaalve Corporation and Elijah Lazarus™ Games. Improvements with the new engine include even higher high dynamic range rendering, multiprocessor support and dynamic effects.
