Syed Omar Faruk Towaha (born 03 January 1994) is a Bangladeshi author[1],researcher[2], developer[3] and tech enthusiast[4]. He is best known for his work on "Learning C for Arduino"[5], "JavaScript Projects for Kids"[6] published by Packt[7]. He is the Founder & Chief Technology Officer of HEXit, a Software and Gaming company.

He is also an official representative[8] of Mozilla. He has been listed in the about:credits of the Firefox web browser for his contributions to the different open source projects of the Mozilla Foundation[9].

He was an active columnist at The Daily Star[10] and The Star Magazine[11] about politics, comedy and technology. He writes blogs[12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20] on programming and technical issues.

He worked as the Firefox Student Ambassador Lead in Asia[21] He worked as the director of SwapnoBangla IT[22][23], a top notch IT company in Sylhet.

Syed was born on 03 January 1994 in Sylhet. His father, Syed Hussain Ahmed. His mother is Syeda Jerin Hussain. He spent his childhood in different parts of Bangladesh.

Syed passed SSC exam from The Aided High School in 2009 and HSC exam from MC College in 2011. He earned his BSc in Physics from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in 2016. He also earned another BSc in Computer Science and Engineering in 2017 from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
