The Order of Appreciation for Good Civil Service (Arabic: وسام التقدير للخدمة المدنية الجيدة, romanizedWisam al-Taqdir Lilkhidmat al-Madaniat al-Jayida) is an Omani order.[1]

History

The order was established by Sultan Qaboos bin Said in 1990 to coincide with his 20th anniversary on the throne. It is awarded in two classes.[2]

Insignia

The insignia was created by Spink & Son and consists of a neck riband, badge, and miniature.[2] The ribbon has a center of green moiré with white stripes on either side and red borders. The badge is a star with wavy points alternating in seven sections each of gold and silver. The center features the national emblem of Oman on a red enamel background with a green border.[3]
