A specialist in multi-channel Web and Web-adjacent technology. His name derives from a formula in polar coordinate geometry and its origin is reputed to be "a long story". Several of Rotan's publications and contributions, such as the W3C Device Description Repository and API, can be found on the W3C web site. Since 2016 he has provided technical assistance to European businesses through his consultancy practice.
