Arvind Ravulavaru (born January 2, 1987) is an Indian entrepreneur, consultant, author, and architect.


Early life and career

Arvind was born in Chennai, capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He attended Pallavi Model School and Nalanda Junior College in Hyderabad, Telangana. He later attended Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, also in Hyderabad, Telangana, graduating in 2008 with his major in Electronics & Communication Engineering. During his college years, actively participated and organized various events.

After graduating from college, Arvind spent three years working as a software engineer at Accenture Services Private Limited, from August 2008 to August 2011. Of the three years, he spent two in Hyderabad, and one in Bangalore. As an entry-level resource resource, he was trained in Core Java, Struts, and Hibernate Integration. He worked on both the front-end and back-end technologies. He has also designed and developed a BPEL front-end tool. Arvind worked on developing microservices, various automation and tools.

Next, Arvind moved to UnitedHealth Group in Hyderabad, Telangana and worked as a software engineer and data scientist from August 2011 to June 2013. He worked extensively on Big Data & Cloud orchestration. He then worked on the following projects: Hadoop, Oozie, and Zoo Keeper, Map Reduce jobs for pattern recognition, Insurance Fraud identification, HP IDOL for data modelling, HPOO Cloud orchestration and automation, and Development of microservices in Java.

As a full stack developer, Arvind led the UI design, development and big data analytics for a cloud-based projects using libraries like JQuery & Backbone.js.

He then worked in the Hyderabad office of Deloitte as a consultant from July 2013 to January 2015. His work focused primarily on Front end technologies, and Web Accessibility. Apart from those mentioned, he also contributed to Requests for Proposal (RFPs).

Arvind founded his company, Jackal Stack Technologies, in January 2015. His company provides solution engineering, consulting, and training. As chief technology officer (CTO), Arvind developed and published an Android app named Loved One Notifier. He then architected, designed, and published an Internet of Things (IoT) Platform named The IoT Suitcase. This product attracted investors and to bring in more, he later founded the company Ubiconn IoT Solutions in July 2016. Both startup companies are based in Hyderabad.

Aside from these two companies. Arvind provided training to corporate on front-end technologies, tooling and automation, and security, while tied up with SpanLabs[1].

Arvind has published books related to his expertise, namely: Learning Ionic[2], Learning Ionic, 2nd Edition[3], Practical IoT with JavaScript[4], and Enterprise IoT handbook[5].

Arvind is currently working on his 5th book, titled "Getting started with Google Cloud AI service".

Aside from books, Arvind also writes a blog, The Jackal of JavaScript. The Jackal of JavaScript is a single website which talks about building almost any software solution only using JavaScript. Some of the articles covered in it are mobile hybrid application development, desktop applications, web and full stack applications. The blog also has articles on working with Raspberry pi and JavaScript and DNA analysis using JavaScript.
