Marcus J Carey is an ethical computer hacker and previous NSA hacker.
Career
[edit]Marcus began his professional career in the US Navy on active duty in the Cryptologic Naval Security Group, of which he spent (8) years. He worked at the National Security Agency (NSA), DC3, DIA, and DARPA.[1] His work resulted in the development of HoneyDocs, Threat Agent, and Threatcare. He also worked at Rapid7 with HD Moore on the Metasploit Engineering Team incorporating a presentation at DEF CON security conventions.[2][3]
Marcus has been a point of contact for many news outlets, like CNN[4], who seek experts for reporting on large attacks, including the 2012 LinkedIn hack.[5][6]
Marcus is a regular speaker at hacker conferences and technology events, such as SXSW[7]
Education
