Faraaz Ali's Career
[edit]Faraaz Ali is the Head of Regional Consumer and Retail Banking for ANZ. He overlooks the business and product management; working with heads all over Asia Pacific to create innovations in the way people pay. Before he joined ANZ, Faraaz was managing the Citibank’s card businesses across Middle-East and North Africa and in the US where he was working for CitiCards US as Vice President. Faraaz started his banking career at Capital One, serving in various roles; Process Manager for Canada cards business and Project Manager for the Capital One Auto Finance Group. He was responsible for ensuring that two major systems were integrated and for checking critical back-end processes. Faraaz has a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from the University of Dallas. He has been actively involved with community and youth development initiatives in the US, UAE and India most recently with the Boy Scouts of America in Dubai as a Den Leader.
Education and Personal Life
[edit]Faraaz grew up in India and attended the University of Bangalore. He graduated from the University of Dallas to get achieve his MBA. His college days are long one, and now he now has two kids (Rehan and Sophia Ali) and a Wife (Naureen Ali). Faraaz Ali, self-taught himself how to code in BASIC at the age of 16 and has helped others do many things with it. He actively plays golf, traveling so far as to Dubai, to get a really good game in now and then. He also enjoys spending lots of time with his closest relatives. Aside from all of that, he's just an exceptional banker.
