Majmoo'ah-E Salawate Rasul is the largest written book on {Salawat} and Salam on {Prophet Muhammad} Sallallahu Ta'ala Alaihe Wa Sallam in 30 chapters by {Hadrat Khwaja Abdur Rahman Choharvi}. Khwaja Abdur Rahman was "ummi", meaning, he was unschooled in {islamic sciences}, e.g: {hadith studies}, {Arabic literature}, {mantiq}, {Islamic jurisprudence}, {ilme nahw}. {ilme balagat}, {theology} etc. Yet he wrote this massive compilation of "Salawat & Salam" on {Hujur Karim} Sallallahu Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Alihi Wa Sallam in extra-ordinary {Arabic language} just like a by born, highly educated Arab scholar. This is truly a miracle. Majmoo'ah-E Salawat-E Rasul is a gift from Allah Subhanahu Ta'ala to {Hazrat Choharvi} which was taught via {ilme laduni}.
Each chapter of 48 pages (one of which is the title page), weaves the most beautiful Names of Allah Ta'ala, Salawaat-e Rasul (blessings on the Holy Prophet) and dua (invocation) around a particular theme. For example, the theme of the first chapter is "Fee Noorihi wa Zuhoorihi" (On the Holy Prophet's Light And Manifestation); that of the second, "Fee Salawaatihi wa Salaamihi" (On Blessings And Salutations On Him); of the third, "Fee Badnihi wa A'dhaa-ihi" (On His Blessed Body And Limbs) and so on. Each chapter begins with {Surah al-Fateha} and ends with {Surah Ikhlas}. However, before Surah al-Fateha, Allah Ta'ala is invoked for the sake of Bismillah. For example, Chapter 7, "Fee Asma-ihi wa Sifaatihi" (On His Blessed Names And Attributes) begins with the following dua:
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
Allahumma inni as-aluka bi-Asmaa-ika Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa bi-Asmaai Habibika Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa bi-Asmaai Jamee-i Ambiyaaika wa Rasulika Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa bi-Asmaai 'Ibaadikassaaliheena Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
Meaning: In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful
O Allah I beg of you through the means of Your Names
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
and through the means of the names of Your beloved Prophet
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
and through the means of the names of all Your Prophets and Messengers
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
and through the means of the names of all Your pious servants
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Characteristics of the Book:
Preserving the similarity of Qur'an-Hadith in the format: It is arranged in 30 chapters like the Holy {Qur'an} and {Bukhari Sharif}, one of the most authentic compilations of Hadith of {Prophet Muhammad} Sallallahu Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Sallam. The author himself indicated this by letter to his chief caliph. In this regard, Allama {Syed Ahmad Shah Sirikoti} Rahmatullahi Alaihi said, “This great scholar kept his vast collection of works secret during his lifetime. Later, when the time of death approached, he informed me in a letter that 'Majmoo'ah-E Salawat E Rasool' has been written, which consists of 30 parts like {Sahih Bukhari Sharif}, each part is slightly larger than the part of Qur'an Sharif.
Again the scribe counted 6666 Salawats are written on the book, similar to the Quran Al Karim's total number of verses.
Linguistic features:
As the language of the beloved Prophet is Arabic, this incomparable lover, Khwaja Choharvi Rahmatullahi Alaihi, has chosen Arabic as the language of this book even though he was a non-Arabic. Moreover, the whole work maintains high literary standards. A non-Arab, unschooled, ummi person has shown so much mastery in the Arabic language that it is difficult to lose one's intellect.
Excellence of thought and language:
The {daroods} written in this book are addressed to the Lord of the worlds from one side in the form of prayer, along with the praises of the mercy toward the worlds, {Syeduna Muhammad} Sallallahu Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Sallam. The necessary prayers of a believer have been revealed in this book. Moreover, the unique description of the external and spiritual beauty of the Prophet which is narrated in the form of {Durood sharif} in this book, make the reader perceive the existence of the beloved Prophet Sallallahu Ta'ala Alayhi wa Sallam in their imagination.
Allama Ismatullah Rahmatullahi Ta'ala Alaihi mentions in the introduction of this great book: “The unitarianism(tawhid) theories and the power of love in this book are so irresistible and high that it enchants the reader towards Almighty Allah.
Hadith experts regard books as Jame' where all the subjects are found and examples are found. In that sense, Bukhari Sharif is a ‘Jame’ Kitab.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that the book Majmoo'ah-E Salawat E Rasool sallallahu alaihi wa sallam is a 'Ja'me' book.
Because it is a fancy biography of the beloved Prophet and all basic things of Islam is narrated in this book. Researchers can verify it through research.
The Urdu translator of the book {Allama Ashraf Sialvi}'s comment in this regard is noteworthy.
He said, "The author has not only considered it sufficient to assemble Durood Sharif here, he has described the proof of our beloved prophet's (peace be upon him) being the first of creation, his Noorani entity in a fancy way.
He has also embellished this book with the heartwarming conditions of his (Syedul Alam sSallallahualaihi wa Sallam holy birth, the best character, the manifestation of the qualities of human benevolence, the miraculous things including his Miraj and other descriptions of the highest greatness and dignity.
By incorporating the sayings of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the regard of Shari'ah, he has made this book a summary of Fiqh.
He has also elevated it to the status of an invaluable document of {Tasawwuf }by enriching Tasawwuf’s narratives. The high standard of Arabic literature has made it a rare example of advanced Arabic literature by its difficult-complex syntax, metaphors etc. Undoubtedly, this book is a treasure of thousands of Durood-wa-Salam, as well as a guide to correct {Aqeedah}."

A source of mercy for endangered humanity:
Undoubtedly, Durood Sharif is a unique blessing that is the cure for all diseases and the divine solution to all problems. This book is therefore a medium to get the mercy of Almighty Allah for the endangered people.
Disasters, epidemics, business failures, shipwrecks, and serious illnesses are not to end. One of the special features behind the writing of this book is that, like the Qur'an and Bukhari Sharif, the khatam(completion) of this book is an infallible blessing and a great help in receiving the mercy of Allah as a help to the trouble of humanity. This is why the practice of reciting this book from house to house is widely observed nowadays.
The miracles of this book:
The great miracle of this book is that all the problems which cannot be solved by worldly power can be solved effortlessly and unimaginably by the great grace of Allah through the khatam (completion) of this unique book. But the biggest surprise, which is the main feature of this book is that the author himself did not acquire formal education. What could be more miraculous than to write such an incomparable book without any academic knowledge? It is very fruitful to take the regular recitation of this book as wajifa for spiritual advancement. Moreover, if someone becomes able to complete the khatam himself through regular recitation, he will be fortunate enough to get the pilgrimage to the {Baitullah sharif} and to see the prophet in his dream. Such real examples have been seen in many of his disciples.
Without any formal education, the composition of such a huge Salawat book with the excellence of such language, the novelty of the analogy, the depth of thought, the breadth of the content is indicative of the knowledge and grace have given by Allah the Almighty. May Allah allow us to read this book at least once in our life. Ameen.
