My name is Ramesh Adhikari. I am Nepali Speaking Bhutanese Refugee. I was born in Nepal; the place called Damak Jhapa. when my parents moved to Nepal as refugee in 1992. Though, I was born in Nepal but, I grew up there and spend my whole entire childhood with my friends. As I grew up little older about 6 years old, I started stepping on the boat of education to sail it through the ocean of knowledge to reach up to my destination. As time passed by… There was a big influence of third country resettlements program by the organization called I. O. M. (International Organization for Migration). In between the huge majority of all Bhutanese Refugee from all different camps, most of them had decided to grab that opportunity. We are also one of them who have keen interest for the third country resettlement program. My whole family and I agreed to come to the United State through that organization. we came to United State of America. At first; we were resettled in New York Albany, which were my very first day and very first step in USA.... I felt very confusing with the way I was going to home. Slowly, by the time pass, I was getting used to with the new country, culture and even language, which was awesome for me.It was my fortune that I get chance to enrolled high school (ALBANY HIGH SCHOOL) which was my first experience ever in foreign school. I stated school in grade 9th but now i am in 10th grade..This is how my life is going on… I must be on the avenue some where I belong. Now, I’m graduate in 3 years but I am not sure I am graduate or not. This is also going to be my request to all whoever read this short story and had similar issue as mine. “Do not ever get disappointed and discourage”, take your time and hope one day you will have chance to grab you future goal…
