Rajendra Rajan (born 27 November 1968) is an Indian film producer known for his work in Tamil cinema. He is also the director of TransIndia Media & Entertainment Private Limited and TransIndia Groups.

Rajendra Rajan made his debut as a film producer with Nagesh Thiraiyarangam (2018) [1] followed by notable projects such as Dil Dosti Deewangi (2023), Jolly O Gymkhana (2024).[2] His successful ventures established him as a prominent producer in Tamil cinema known for quality and large-scale productions.

Early life and career

Rajendra Rajan was born on 27 November 1968 in Pillaiyarkudieruppu, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu. His parents are Marthanda Nadar and Thangavadivu. He is married to Punitha, and they have two children, Prince Marwin Rajan and Prince Shalwin Rajan.[3]

Rajendra Rajan later moved to Mumbai,[4] where he began his professional journey in the construction and real estate industry, successfully completing several projects. He subsequently expanded his business operations by establishing a branch in Chennai. After achieving success in the construction sector, he transitioned into film production, marking the beginning of his career in the film industry.

TransIndia Groups was founded by Rajendra Rajan with the vision of creating quality housing that bridges the gap between demand and supply. The group focuses on developing both affordable and luxury residential projects, combining innovation with reliability. Based in Mumbai and its extended suburbs, TransIndia Groups is also working toward expanding its presence across major cities in India.

Nagesh Thiraiyarangam[5] is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language horror film directed by Mohamad Issack and produced by Rajendra M. Rajan and Punitha Rajan under the banner TransIndia Media & Entertainment Private Limited.

The film features Aari Arujunan,[6] Ashna Zaveri, and Masoom Shankar in the lead roles, with Latha, Sithara, Kaali Venkat, Abhilash, and Athulya Ravi appearing in pivotal roles. The film was released across Tamil Nadu on 16 February 2018.

Dil Dosti Deewangi (2023)

Dil Dosti Deewangi [4] is a 2023 Indian Marathi-language romantic drama film directed by Shirish Rane and written by Deepak Tarkar. It is produced by Rajendra Rajan and stars Smita Gondkar, Chirag Patil, Veena Jagtap, and Kashyap Parulekar in the lead roles. The film’s music is composed by Sonali Uday, with playback singing by Avadhoot Gupte, Vaishali Samant, and Sonali Patel.

The film blends elements of romance, drama, suspense, and thrill, offering a visually engaging and musically rich cinematic experience.

Jolly O Gymkhana (2024)

Let's Be Jolly Together is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language black comedy film written and directed by Sakthi Chidambaram.[3] The film stars Prabhu Deva [7] in the lead role, portraying a corpse, with Madonna Sebastian as the female lead. It also features Abhirami, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Robo Shankar, John Vijay, Sai Dheena, Madhusudhan Rao, and Yashika Aannand in prominent roles.

Produced by Rajendra M. Rajan and Leela under the banner Transindia Media & Entertainment Private Limited, the film’s music is composed by Ashwin Vinayagamoorthy, with cinematography by M.C. Ganesh Chandra and editing by Niranjan Antony.
