VORACLE (Compression Oracle Attacks on VPN Networks) is a security exploit against HTTP over connections using most VPN protocols. VORACLE is built based on the CRIME security exploit. VORACLE was announced at the August 2018 Black Hat and Defcon 26 conferences by security researcher Ahamed Nafeez.
Details
[edit]While both CRIME and BREACH attacks were attacks mostly targeting TLS compression and HTTP compression respectively, VORACLE attacks are on VPN compressions.
