Kea Radley-Lianne, (born 20 February 2005) known as RAV is a kiwi/english producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and artist.

Early life and education

Kea Radley-Lianne was born in Hastings, Hawkes bay on 20 February 2005. Radley-Lianne attended Taradale High School between 2018 and 2023.

Career

From a young age Radley-Lianne had music all around him. He comes from a family with a musical background going back many generations. His father, who is a drummer in the band Yes Yes No started teaching him to play the drums when he was about 3 years old. He later went on to learn drums through a proper drum teacher. At the age of 7, he started taking violin classes which he continued learning throughout his teen years. At 11 he picked up the guitar and piano. The year before he started high school (2017), he formed the band "BrokenHead", with his younger brother on the bass and a childhood friend on the drums. He took on the role of lead singer and guitarist. "BrokenHead" went on to play a number of gigs around Hawkes Bay. They also wrote a few unreleased original songs. At high school he took an extra class in music theory, which he studied for 3 years. When he was 15 years old he met LYNXLYNC who is an up and coming artist from New Zealand. LYNXLYNC introduced Radley-Lianne to music production and showed him the basics of [FL Studio]. Radley-Lianne then bought a licence for [FL Studio] using money he had been given for his 16th birthday. He started releasing beats/instrumentals to YouTube in early 2022 and later on he made a [BeatStars] and a [SoundCloud] account. He didn't really gain a lot of attention however. At the start of 2023 he released his first single "CLOUDS", with Shawty Pimp. A month after the release of "CLOUDS" Radley-Lianne dropped "CLOUDS (Edited Versions). This featured a slowed & reverb and sped & reverb version of the original track. On May 1st Radley-Lianne released his follow up single "DANGER ZONE", and then on August 1st he dropped "tell me", which was his introduction into the electronic/dance scene. His next single "do it like dat (wait 4 me) is due to drop on the September 1st, exactly a month after "tell me".

Future plans

Radley-Lianne is hoping to attend [SAE Institute] Auckland in 2024 where he will make connections and continue his music journey. After his 3 year course, he wants to move to the UK to start his career in producing for other artists and working on his own music. As far as future projects go he is working on an EP/album that he hopes to release mid 2024.
