Company
[edit]The company Pranas.NET was co-founded in 2003 by Ruslan Sudentas and Mike Shilov. Initially, the company focused on developing database backup software, cumulating in over one million installations. In 2012, the company diversified and released the first commercial version of Screenshot Monitor. The software product has since been actively developed, and, as of March 2018, over one thousand businesses are using the software product. Pranas.NET employs 10+ employees in March 2018.
Features
[edit]- No company spying
- The employees trigger the starting and stopping of tracking. No information is gathered outside the employee-controlled start-stop sessions. Furthermore, employees are made aware when screenshots are being taken: a notification message is displayed on the desktop at the moment of capture.
- Screenshot annotation
- The employees can optionally annotate screenshots.
- Postcapture access
- The employees can view captured screenshots online via the Screenshot Monitor website, and have the option to blur or delete each one. In addition, they can split a tracking session or trim it by editing its start and stop times.
- No data loss in the event of network disruption
- If an employee's computer goes offline after tracking is activated, the software continues to take screenshots. The screenshots will be uploaded to the Screenshot Monitor cloud after Internet connection is restored.
- Dual monitor support
- If two monitors are attached to the employee's computer, screen contents on both monitors are captured by the software.
- Report generation and sharing
- Web API integration
- Screenshot Monitor provides a RESTful Web Service API. Third-party web applications can retrieve tracked session times and annotations in JSON format.
